23 September TALLINN
Saturday

After breakfast, time to discover the capital city of Estonia – Tallinn. A guided city tour on foot in the Old Town of Tallinn, one of the best preserved Hanseatic town centers in the world, will include: a stop in front of the Toompea Palace, the seat of the Estonian Parliament, with limestone walls and towers that belonged to its predecessor – the medieval Toompea Castle, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Dome Church, Town Hall Square and the medieval Old Town Hall.

In the afternoon a sightseeing tour by bus includes: Kadriorg Park and the magnificent baroque palace – Kadriorg Palace; the Song Festival Grounds, home to the Estonian Song and Dance Celebration, an event that brings together up to 30,000 performers; the Pirita district with the former Olympic yachting center, ruins of St. Bridget‘s Convent and sandy Pirita beach.

24 September            TALLINN – PÄRNU – GAUJA NATIONAL PARK – RIGA
Sunday

After breakfast, transfer by coach to Riga with en route stop in Estonia‘s summer capital and famous seaside resort Pärnu.
Further drive to Sigulda located in Gauja National Park, known for its impressive display of nature and cultural and historical monuments. Visit to the Turaida Castle and the mysterious Gutmana Cave.
Arrival in Riga in late afternoon for overnight.

25 September RIGA
Monday

After breakfast, time to explore the largest city in the Baltic States – Riga. Its diverse architecture reflects the entire history of the city from the beginning of the 13th century to present day. Guided walking tour in the Old Town of Riga includes: Riga Castle, Dome Square with the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, Town Hall Square with the House of the Blackheads, the Great and Small Guilds, the medieval ensemble of three dwelling houses called “Three Brothers” and the Swedish Gate. Afterwards, a bus tour will include the masterpieces of the marvelous Art Nouveau architecture: the Latvian National Opera, the Freedom Monument and other examples.
In the afternoon, optional visit to the Ethnographical Museum, one of the oldest and largest open-air museums in Europe. More than a hundred traditional rural buildings have been brought to this location from all four Latvian regions: Vidzeme, Zemgale, Latgale, Kurzeme. A visit to this museum is a great opportunity to see typical Latvian farm dwellings and to learn about the lives and traditions of the Latvian people.

26 September RIGA – HILL OF COURSE – PLATELIAI – PALANGA
Tuesday

After breakfast,we travel to Samogitia National Park and the picturesque Lake Plateliai. Then wecontinue to the Hill of Crosses near Siauliai, a Catholic pilgrimage site with thousands of crosses brought there by people from different countries as a symbol of Faith, Love and Sacrifice. Late afternoon arrival in PALANGA for overnight.

27 September PALANGA – KLAIPEDA – CURONIAN SPIT – PALANGA
Wednesday

After breakfast, a day tour to the Curonian Spit, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a cultural landscape. First stop is Juodkrante to visit the Hill of Witches with more than 80 oak sculptures of fairy-tale characters made by Lithuanian carvers and blacksmiths as a gift to the country and its visitors. Further drive to Nida, with stops at the Grey Heron and Great Cormorants’ colony and the Grey (Dead) Dune. Guided tour of Nida, the former fishermen village and today the largest town in the Curonian Spit. The visit will include: fishermen’s ethnographic farmstead, Parnidis dune and Solar clock, Amber Gallery-Museum, Thomas Mann Memorial Museum and ethnographic cemetery of Nida.We travel to Klaipeda in the afternoon for a city tour and afterwards return to Palanga for overnight.Dinner under own arrangements.

28 September PALANGA – TRAKAI – VILNIUS
Thursday

After breakfast transfer to Trakai, the former capital of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Visit Trakai Insular Castle, the red brick medieval architectural monument from the end of the 14th century and now part of Trakai History Museum. Time permitting, take an optional boat ride to admire the beautiful nature of Trakai, acquire some Lithuanian souvenirs and perhaps try some local authentic food specialties.
Afternoon arrival in Vilnius for overnight.
Farewell dinner in a traditional Lithuanian cozy restaurant in the Old Town of Vilnius.

29 September VILNIUS
Friday

After breakfast, guided walking tour of the Old Town of Vilnius – one of the largest and most interesting historical city centers among the Eastern European capitals. This tour includes: the Cathedral and the Cathedral Square, Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, Presidential Palace, Vilnius University, Amber Museum – Gallery, gothic corner with St. Anne‘s Church and Bernardines, the Gate of Dawn and more.
Afternoon free under own arrangements.

Tourists with optional Lviv extension will have a 19:30 transfer to the airport for a 21:55
departure to Lviv.
