You join our touring bus for a 4 hr ride to Zarvanytsia. Upon arrival you will have lunch prepared by the sisters. Zarvanytsia is considered the Lourdes of Western Ukraine. It houses a miraculous icon of the Blessed Virgin with Christ Child, a spring of healing water, and an active monastery and church. An orientation tour will be provided by a local priest or monk. Late evening arrival in Kamianets Podilsky.
Dinner under own arrangements.

Kamianets Podilsky

A full day riverboat cruise with lunch on the Dnister River will be one of the highlights of this trip and will include the Bakota Monastery. Today, you will cruise on the second largest river of Ukraine, Dnister. Enjoy the beautiful views of the canyon, the castle, and then visit the ruins and rock formations of Bakota Monastery, established in the 12th century. It was discovered by St.Antonij, who was also the founder of Pechersla Lavra Monastery in Kyiv. In 1255, during the Tartar invasions, monks and area inhabitants hid in the labyrinths of the caves where they eventually perished. The monastery and the town never recovered, though efforts were made as late as the 15th c. to resettle and rebuilt it.

This tour concludes with a walking tour of the Kamianets Podilskyi Castle built in the 11th c. with additions in the 14th and 18th c..
Dinner under own arrangements. Evening free.

Chernivtsi – Yaremche

We continue to Chernivtsi, the capital of Bukovyna. It’s a beautiful and mysterious town with many narrow streets and hidden views, and some incredible architectural gems which we will see during our city tour: the National University of Chernivtsi, Kobylanska Museum, the Opera House, the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and the two churches of St. Nikolai.

Our final destination today is Yaremche – the capital of the most colorful ethno-cultural group of Ukrainians – the Hutsuls. Travel through this picturesque area and marvel at the examples of modern day Hutsul architecture with its wooden buildings, red-clay tiles and steep roofs built for the heavy snow of the mountains.

In the afternoon we travel to Bukovel ski resort for a ride on a ski lift to see the spectacular Chornohora Mountain range at sunset (weather permitting), and then to Yaremche for overnight and dinner at the famous Hutsulshchyna Restaurant.

Yaremche – Kolomyia – Lviv

Yaremche – this morning “we shop until we drop” at its famous bazaar/kiosks. Then we continue to Kolomyia, the heart and soul of Hutsul culture. We visit the famous Pysanka Museum and the Museum of Folk Art of the Hutsul Region. Lunch at a local restaurant. We proceed to Lviv through Rohatyn to view its newly constructed statue of Roxolana. Estimated arrival in Lviv 8PM.
